It has been a truly epic year for Internet animal stars.
In 2012, we were captivated by the cute Echidna rescued from the Australian outback, a dapper monkey running around in a coat, and a live puppy cam for almost every species of dog.
We also met the world's smallest, grumpiest, tallest and most hipster pets. And we loved them all.
