Charlie Sheen Talks Selma Blair’s Firing From ‘Anger Management’ On ‘The Tonight Show’ (VIDEO)

Charlie Sheen talked about one of his greatest regrets in live during his visit to “The Tonight Show.” Just a few weeks before he would have graduated high school, Sheen was expelled from school for bad grades and poor attendance. After all these years, Jay Leno decided to do what he could to fix that.

“I want you to put this on, right here,” Leno told Sheen, handing him a cap and gown.

Then, Sheen’s friend, Tony Todd, presented him with an actual diploma from his high school. “On behalf of Santa Monica high school class of 1983 — and class of 2013 — it is my honor as your friend of over 30 years to present you with your official high school diploma.”

Todd was a baseball coach at Sheen’s old school, so he was able to make the whole thing possible.

During his interview, Sheen also addressed the exit of Selma Blair from “Anger Management” for the first time anywhere. He said, as has been reported, that she was fired over creative differences. “Selma Blair … was written out because [the show] was not about our relationship, and the problem was too many people were still excited about the ‘Two and a Half [Men]‘ character and thought the ‘Anger Management’ character was a little dull,” Sheen explained. “So that is not the case anymore … Her character leaves, and I start circling the drain. So it’s really fun to watch and hella fun to play.”

“Anger Management” airs on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET on FX, while “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” continues every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
